Whether they live in our homes or in the wild, Subaru is committed to keeping all animals safe and healthy.

A partner since 2008, Subaru has donated over $28 million to the ASPCA and through Subaru Loves Pets has helped support the rescue, transport, adoption and well-being of over 230,000 animals across the country.

Loving the environment means more than loving the great outdoors. It means working to preserve it.

Since 2018, Subaru has partnered with TerraCycle.  Participating Subaru retailers collect hard-to-recycle trash that was headed to local landfills. We collect approximately 2 tons of this hard-to-recycle trash monthly, which will be converted to furnishings and other usable items and donated locally.

It’s our goal to make the pursuit of knowledge available to as many minds as possible.

Since 2015 Subaru, in partnership with the American Association for the Advancement Science, donated over 277,600 award-winning science books.  In addition, through our partnerships with Staples and Adoptaclassroom.org we supported teachers and students with donations of S400,000 in gift cards and school supplies.

In a perfect world, hunger would be history and hope would be commonplace. We believe a perfect world is possible.

In 2020, Subaru and its retailers made a donation to Feeding America to provide 50 million meals to help feed people in need during the COVID-19 crisis,* making meals available at 199 local food banks across the country.
*$1 helps provide at least 10 meals secured by Feeding America on behalf of local member food banks.

We should all have a chance to lead a healthy life. We’re aiming to give as many people that chance as we can.

Since 2016, Subaru and its retailers have partnered with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) to donate over 167,000 blankets and 21,500 arts & crafts kits and reached nearly 150,000 patients in more than 780 hospitals nationwide.

Love Promise Stories from Kendall Subaru of Fairbanks

Subaru and Kendall Subaru of Fairbanks believe in making a positive impact on the communities in which we live and work. We uphold that belief through our Love Promise Community Commitment. Every month, we select inspiring stories from customers and partners from around our area who strive to support our collective commitment and feature them here

Leukemia and Lymphoma Society  –  Ally J

Whenever people talk about cancer, they always use the same word. Someday. Someday there will be a cure. Someday we won’t lose the people we love. But when is someday? The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society believes that someday can be today. Kendall Subaru of Fairbanks is excited to partner and raise awareness for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society who is working to cure blood cancers. During the month of June, Kendall Subaru customers and employees filled out cards with positive messages for cancer patients. The cards along with blankets will be delivered to local cancer patients and hospitals in Fairbanks. Visit http://www.lls.org/ to learn more about the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and ways you can be involved.

Butterfly Heros  –  Ally J

Monarch butterflies are the most beautiful of all butterflies and are considered the “king” of all butterflies. Unfortunately, the monarch populations have declined by about 80% over the last decade, primarily because of milkweed plants. Other contributing factors include the loss of wildflower habitats in the US, climate change, parasite disease and insecticide use. To help raise awareness of this issue, Kendall Subaru of Fairbanks has partnered with the National Wildlife Federation for the Butterfly Heroes Program as part of our Subaru Loves the Earth Initiative during the month of April. Kendall Subaru of Fairbanks will have a butterfly habitat planter on site and be giving away seed kits. Stop in and check it out today!!

Kendall Subaru Loves the Earth  –  Tressa S

Kendall Subaru of Fairbanks loves giving back to our community, and part of that means being responsible about how we dispose of our outdated electronics. The month of April, we hosted an e-waste recycling campaign and encouraged our customers to join us in a little spring cleaning. Our E-waste drop off bins quickly filled and we were so thrilled with the amount of items we had brought in to be responsibly recycled. Thank you to all of our customers who participated in this campaign. Working together, we can start something great!

Kendall Subaru of Fairbanks Partners with Boys and Girls Club  –  Sarah N

Kendall Subaru of Fairbanks showed our commitment to our community by partnering with the Boys and Girls Club to help them redecorate their club house. We donated art supplies and created an event where local artist could talk to the kids about what they wanted the new murals to look like. We thought it was the perfect way to make a lasting impression on a an institution in Fairbanks.

Kendall Subaru of Fairbanks Sponsors Fairbanks Nordic Ski Association  –  john e

Kendall Subaru of Fairbanks encourages community members to stay active during the long, cold winter by sponsoring the Fairbanks Nordic Ski Association. We set up a tent at the finish line of the Town-Race series event where spectators can come get a cup of hot coco and competitors can grab some Gatorade and a healthy snack. We also make a donation of the cause to help pay for the maintenance of trails throughout the city.

"12 Days of Caring" with Kendall Subaru of Fairbanks  –  Diego K

This holiday season our dealership partnered with the Salvation Army to organize an event called "12 Days of Caring." With this program we gave back to families throughout our community who needed some extra help. This was a great opportunity for us to give back to the community and spread the holiday spirit.
